Truth Exposed:  

Luke 7:29-30 speaks of the Pharisees and Lawyers rejecting the baptism of John.  Why?  John’s baptism was for forgiveness of sin and the spiritual leaders and teachers of the nation, in their arrogance and self-righteousness, considered themselves above the Law and sinless.  Theirs’s was a “do as I say, not as I do” command of the Law.  So, by rejecting John’s baptism, they were rejecting God himself, and the call he had put on their lives, and they were now leading people down the same wrong path they themselves were on.   Be very, very careful of who and what you are listening to.  Make sure everything lines up with scripture.
