Truth Exposed:

Exodus 20:13 is the commandment about taking a life.  It says “thou shall not   ____________” what?   Is it kill or murder?  The correct word is murder: to take a life with malice aforethought; premediated; deliberate.  Kill is to cause the death of a person through an accident; unpremeditated.  Two entirely different actions.  We used the words murder and kill interchangeably, but that is wrong.  Biblical terminology is very important, God’s word is exact.  This is why he instituted sanctuary cities in the O.T.   For a murder, God requires a life for a life; not so with someone being accidently killed.
