Truth Exposed:
In Leviticus 2, we have the grain offering, which was given to express thanksgiving and devotion to God. It was composed of flour, olive oil, and frankincense, but without yeast or honey. Yeast and honey were fermentation foods, indicative of sin, therefore were forbidden to be put into an offering that would express our love, devotion, and thankfulness. When burned the spice gave off a wonderful smell, enticing and pleasing. Exactly how our worship should be. Remember, in the O.T. what is done in the natural is now done in the spirit in the N.T. Always keep this in mind when reading the O.T.
