Truth Exposed:  

 

Colossians 3:13 tells us that we must forgive; it is not an option.  The saying goes, unforgiveness only hurts yourself, but that is not true.  Unforgiveness also hurts Christ.  It is a sin.  It is in direct conflict with his nature of love.  We have to leave the mindset of the world and consciously train ourselves to walk in the mindset of Christ.  On the day he died, Jesus said:  “Forgive them, for they know not what they do.”  He was talking about us when we don’t think of all the ways we hurt his heart.  The only way to look at unforgiveness is to see it for the sin that it is and repent of our sinfulness.  Today is a good day to get rid of the sinful hurts we do and begin to truly live in love.
