Truth Exposed: Redemption
In Ezra 1, we read of King Cyrus of Persia, and the enslaved Israelites. He is the king who set Israel free to return to Jerusalem. Just who was this man?
1. A pagan who practiced Zoroastrianism, the religion of the Magi
- Daniel served in his court and probably taught him about the Lord
- Isaiah prophesied about him Isaiah 45:1, 4 and Isaiah 44:28; Proverbs 21:1
- He acknowledged the Lord God Almighty Ezra 1:2
What does that have to do with us today? God can change anybody; there isn’t anyone who is beyond the touch of God. Our prayers for salvation for our unsaved loved ones is answered in the fullness of God’s time, not ours. He has a purpose and a plan for everything. 70 years Israel was in bondage, then God moved. Never stop sharing Jesus. Never stop praying. Miracles still happen.
