Truth Exposed: Testing Spirits
How many times have you heard “test the spirits to see if they are from God?”
- How many spirits are from God? Only One, the Holy Spirit. Eph 4:4-6; Acts 2:38.
- 1 John 4:3 tells us to test the spirit of a prophet, not anyone else. Why? Because a prophet is chosen by God to speak for Amos 3:7; Numbers 12:6; 2 Peter 1:21.
And you certainly don’t want to change any of the words God gives you to speak. That’s telling God he doesn’t know what he is saying. Oh boy!!!!!! Deut 18:20 gives a very harsh penalty. Be very careful.
