Truth Exposed: Jacob
Jacob, son of Isaac, had gone to his father’s family to find a wife. Remember Abraham was, as all his family, was initially a pagan worshipper, so Isaac would be considered a 1st generation worshipper of Yahweh. We read that Laban was also a pagan worshipper (Canaanite) in Genesis 31:19, and this is further evidenced in verse 29 where Laban says “. . . But the God of YOUR father . . .” not the God of my father or our father. God can, and does, use anything and anyone to his glory alone. These are also the natural ancestors of the man, Jesus.
