Truth Exposed:   Purification

Numbers 19:11-22 gives the purification ritual for touching a dead body.  This included the army.  During the time of the kings, the army numbered around 1.1 million, but was divided into 12ths, so approximately 83,000+ were on active duty at a time.  If this minimal number went into battle, imagine the time it would take to purify this group of people, plus the booty they brought, plus anyone in the camp coming in contact with them.  We read the stories but fail to see the realities.  The O.T. Law was brutal.   It is by grace we have been saved.
