Truth Exposed: Naked
There are 2 instances of nakedness in scripture: Genesis 3:10, 9:23. “Naked” means “without a covering, without defense,” both in the natural and spiritual. Genesis 9:23 is a beautiful picture of our spirit life. Like Noah, we were drunk in our sins, and lay naked in the world, without defense. Like Shem and Japheth, Jesus covered us. And God, like the boys, had to look away until we were covered. God cannot look on us without the defense of Jesus. So much symbolism in the story of Noah.
