Truth Exposed: Truth
At Jesus’s trial, Pilate asked him: “What is truth?” John 18:38. What IS truth in the biblical sense? Biblical truth is consistent with the mind, will, character, glory and being of God. It is absolute, unchanging, and eternal. It is faithfulness, reliability, and reality as opposed to deceit and falsehood. Jesus said “I Am the . . . truth . . .” John 14:6. Psalm 25:5 asks the Lord to lead us in truth; lead us to be consistent with the mind and attitude of the Lord. Romans 12:2 tells us to change our stinkin’ thinkin’ to be more like Christ. Leave behind the falsehood and deceit and take on the truth of Jesus. The truth sets us free John 8:32.
