Truth Exposed: Instruction
I count 8 descriptive adjectives that Christ-followers are to do in Isaiah 1:16-17, but the first word of verse 17 nailed me: LEARN. Learn to do good. Doing good, being good, anything good is NOT natural behavior in human beings. Jeremiah 17:9 tells us that the heart is wicked and evil, that is our natural tendency. We must learn to do good. We learn by study and example. Look closely at Jesus and see what he did, how he spoke, his attitude, his character. Learn his ways, not the ways of the world. Learning is a life-long adventure. Have at it!
