In Job 38, God is questioning Job as to his abilities to create. Verse 32 caught me off-guard with the word “Mazzaroth.” Verses 31-33 is talking about the zodiac and the constellations, but what is Mazzaroth? It is, indeed, another word for constellation. The constellations were how the ancients calculated time and seasons. God was asking Job, “can you control time?” Can we? We sure like to try, don’t we?
