Truth Exposed: Priorities
John 13:13-14 is an interesting sentence. Have you read it? Notice anything? The disciples call Jesus “teacher” and “Lord,” while Jesus calls himself “Lord” and “teacher.” A very great distinction. The disciples knew him as a teacher, not as their God. Anybody with authority in those days was called lord. Paul, in Acts 9:5, called Messiah lord, but did not know him as God. Jesus said, in this statement, that he IS God, and as God he will be first, never second. Who is Christ to you?
