Truth Exposed:  

I am in love with the book of Leviticus; its symbolism is overwhelming.  Leviticus 1 lays out the burnt offering, which was given as a sign of atonement for sin and dedication to God.  The male animal represents Christ.  Laying hands on the head symbolizes the transference of guilt.  The shedding of blood is mandatory for forgiveness.  Washing the internal organs with water symbolized purification and dedication of the inner man.  Washing the legs of the animal is about our walk with the Lord.  It must be pure and clean.  What an incredible foreshadowing of the coming Christ!
