Truth Exposed: Wickedness
We have read how King Saul, because of his intense jealousy, wanted to kill David, but I doubt we realized just how deep this depravity went. 1 Samuel 22:3-4 gives us enlightenment; Saul even wanted to wipe out David’s family! That goes beyond jealousy to off-the-chart intense hatred. Think about the implications of such a move to a pagan nation. Think about how critical and urgent the situation was. Think about the emotional trauma the Jesse family must have felt. So much to the back story. Think in real life terms, not worldly sanitizing.
