Truth Exposed: Robe Train
I don’t think there has ever been a time in history where man has not pondered: “how great is the Lord?” We don’t have a measuring rod for this, but the Lord, in his great love for Isaiah, gave him something he could relate to: the train on a royal robe in Isaiah 6:1. In those days, a person’s importance in the palace was determined by how long the train on a robe was; the longer, the more important, and the king’s train was the greatest. Solomon’s Temple was still being used, so God showed Isaiah that the train on his robe filled, and overflowed the magnificent temple, indicating that no one, on earth or in heave, was greater or had more authority than God. No wonder Isaiah cried out “woe to me!”
