Truth Exposed:  

Numbers 21:4-6 tells us of the bronze snake being lifted up for healing of the plague of snakes.  Very strange.  Idol worship?  No.  Poisonous snake bites were killing the Israelites.  God commanded Moses to make a bronze snake and whoever looked on it was saved.  This was, first of all, a foreshadowing of Christ’s death.  The snake represents evil, sin, and bronze is the biblical symbol of judgement.  Those who looked at the snake were healed.  The  bronze snake said that God had judged the evil,  found it guilty, and healed them.  Today, when sin bites and poisons us we look to Jesus for healing.
