Truth Exposed:   Defilement

In Luke 11:37-44 Jesus is bringing charges against the Pharisees; verse 44 says something interesting:  you walk on unmarked graves.  Under the law, Numbers 19:16, anyone who walked on an unmarked grave became unclean, defiled.  A marked grave could be avoided, but not an unmarked one.  In this example Jesus is talking about hidden sin, spiritual danger that looks harmless on the surface, but it defiles us when we walk into it.  Jesus was calling the Pharisees unmarked graves that caused people, unaware of their tactics, to follow them into sin.  Be careful what you listen to and who you follow.  There are many “unmarked graves” out there.
