Truth Exposed:  Generosity

2 Corinthians 9:11-15 tells us that we are given so that we can give.  We are not given just because we WANT, but that we might share God’s bounty and goodness with others.  It is our duty to share, not hoard.  After all, everything belongs to God.  When we share, three things happen:  (1) the needs of other believers are met;  (2) the receivers give praise to God;  (3)  the receivers pray for the givers.  On the other hand, if we are stingy with our blessings, then we sin, James 4:17, and the love of God is not in us, 1 John 2:15.  The bottom line is:  everything we do is a reflection of our own faith, so how does my generosity affect the faith of others?
