Truth Exposed: David #2
1 Samuel 16 tells us of the anointing of David as king of Israel. The people of Israel cried for a “king like other nations,” 1 Samuel 8:5, so God gave them their request. Later he regrated it, 1 Samuel 15:11. There are 2 verses in 1 Samuel 16 that amaze me: verses 1 & 3. God chose David to be HIS king, not the peoples. God wanted a man who loved him, and nothing else, 1 Samuel 13:14, Acts 13:22. What God wants will never be taken over by what man wants. God always wins.
