Truth Exposed:   Priests

In 2 Chronicles 29:5 Hezekiah gives the Levites a triple command as he prepares to re-establish Temple worship:

  1. Separate yourselves as holy
  2. The house of the Lord is now holy
  3. Get rid of the profane.

Another vivid word picture of the spiritual life of the True Believer.  We are given the 1st command in 2 Corinthians 6:17.  The 2nd command if found in 1 Corinthians 3:16;  and the 3rd command is found in Acts 3:19, James 4:8.  We must never forget that we are the Royal Priesthood, 1 Peter 2:9-10, and that we serve the Great High Priest, Jesus Christ.
