Truth Exposed: Lost Tribes
1 Kings 12 records the separating of the nation of Israel: 10 tribes, Israel, went north, and Judah and Benjamin remained in the south, the nation of Judah. The 10 northern tribes later became the “lost tribes of Israel.” They were not lost, missing, they didn’t wander off into the sunset and disappear; they were “lost” because they had walked away from the teachings of Yahweh. 1 Kings 12:25-31 tells the sad story of the demonic jealousy of Jeroboam, and how he led the 10 northern tribes away from God. This now gives understanding to Matthew 10:6, 15.24. Context is everything.
