Truth Exposed: Vine
In John 15:2, Jesus is talking about those who are putting their faith in him to work; they are either fruitful or unproductive. Those who are in him but fail to produce fruit worthy of the kingdom are eliminated, removed, destroyed (v 6). Those who are IN him, grafted in, are part of the true vine, but they have become apostate. Sounds like he is repeating Matthew 7:21-23, only using different words. Makes one think twice about the “once saved always saved” doctrine. We must read scripture with intention and discernment, asking Holy Spirit for clarity and understanding.
