Truth Exposed:  

Numbers 6 is all about the ritual and regulations for anyone who would take the Nazarite vow.  Quite interesting.  But the last 4 verses are the best!  Most people will just skim through books 2-5 of the Pentateuch at the very least or simply skip them altogether.  Ahhhh, but the gold that can be found in them.  We would all do great to memorize this prayer and pray it for others when we don’t know what to say.  God commanded this in vv 22-23:

     “May the Lord bless you and protect you.

May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you.

     May the Lord show you his favor,

And give you peace.”

V 27  Whenever Aaron and his sons (and us, the Royal Priesthood) bless the people of Israel (the children of God) in my name, I myself will bless them. That is breathtaking!
