Truth Exposed: Unbelief
The Greek, apistia, means unfaithfulness; faithless. Hebrews 3:12 tells us we have “evil hearts” if we harbor unbelief. In Mark 9:24, the father admitted he had a head knowledge of Jesus but was lacking spiritual knowledge. He knew what he needed. In Romans 4, Abraham, though old, never wavered in his belief in God’s promises, and verse 20 tells us that his faith grew stronger. Believing in spite of the odds is what strengths our faith, aids in our spiritual growth, and glorifies God. Unbelief hardens our hearts and leads us away from God Hebrews 3:8.
