Truth Exposed: Judging
Matthew 7:1-2 is most often taken out of context. Matthew 7:15-16 calls for judgment, as does Proverbs 31:8-9 and John 7:24. Judgment on sin is called for in Eph 5:11 as well as Matt 7:16, Galatians 6:1, 1 Timothy 5:20, and so many more. Ezekiel 3:18-20 is very clear, we judge the sin, not the salvation. God alone delivers the punishment. We are called to keep each other from sinning. Am I my brother’s keeper? Yes. Mercy and grace.
