Following up on yesterday's blog, we now see how really black and dead Saul’s heart really was. 1 Samuel 22:16-19 recounts how very evil Saul was, in that he spewed his venom on 85 innocent priests and their families. That, to me, is demonic hate. Do these actions inspire faith? What kind of fear was now running rampant throughout the kingdom? The people had clamored for a “king over us like other nations,” 1 Samuel 8:6-22, so God gave them what they wanted. Be careful what you ask for.
