Truth Exposed: Cave of Adullam
Adullam means refuge; that’s where David ran to escape King Saul and that’s where the 400 men sick in soul and spirit gathered with David, 1 Samuel 22:1-2 . Several things happened in the cave:
- David cries out to God in Psalms 142 & 57
- Others of like spirit gathered with him
- David did not create outlaws, he trained . . .
- . . . “mighty men of valor” 2 Samuel 23:8-39, 1 Chronicles 12:8
Jesus is our “cave of Adullam”, and we lead others to this rock of refuge where they will find healing and comfort for their own sick souls and spirits. We are all “Davids” in the war with the world of “Sauls.” Honor God and he will honor you.
