Truth Exposed

Exodus 12:3, 6 sets the requirement for the lamb or kid for the Passover.  The animal is chosen on the 10th day and kept inside and tended for 4 days.  This short amount of time, especially if there are children, turns the animal into a pet of sorts. It becomes an attachment. Why is this done?  Because a sacrifice requires giving up something you love, otherwise it is not a sacrifice.  God is saving Israel, but salvation requires a sacrifice.  A foreshadowing of the Father and Christ.  Tremendously rich symbolism in the Old Testament.
