Truth Exposed: Royal Official
In John 4:46 we read of the Royal Official who came to Jesus for a miracle. Some interesting facts:
- He was an official in Herod’s employ, not necessarily a Roman or a soldier.
- He was stationed in Capernaum; Jesus was still in Cana.
- His family was more important than his position.
- He traveled almost 20 miles to see Jesus.
- Herod’s reign, and his court, was very debased, pagan.
- This man was not afraid of Herod.
- The official believed Jesus. V. 50
- God works everywhere and anywhere.
In the midst of paganism, opulence, and power, are we willing to turn our back on it all and seek out Jesus?
