Truth Exposed  

Exodus 24:11 is profound.  Moses and 73 others are having a meal with God!  What?  Here these 74 people were enjoying a meal WITH GOD, and they didn’t die!  (who brought the picnic basket?)  Astounding! In Chapters 20-24 God gave the nation his directives; now this was a “covenant meal” in which these men agreed to abide by God’s laws and to lead the nation in doing the same, as binding as signing a contract.  Likewise, today we enter a “covenant meal” every time we partake of communion.  We are agreeing with God that we have accepted the sacrifice of Christ and that we will obey his directives.  Very serious business.  Think about what you are doing, and why.
