Truth Exposed: Nineveh
We all know the story of Jonah and the fish, but I doubt everyone knows the STORY. Nineveh was an Assyrian stronghold and very demonic. But why use a fish? The fish god, Dagon, was the principal god of Nineveh. So, the Lord God used their paganism, their own culture, against them by having Jonah vomited out of a great fish. Jonah 2:10. To the Ninevites, this was a sign from their god, and when Jonah preached repentance, they caved. Now the story makes a lot of sense.
