Truth Exposed:   Believe

What does it mean “to believe?”  Dictionary.com defines it as:  “to have confidence in the truth, the existence, or the reliability of something, although without absolute proof that one is right in doing so.”  In the N.T., the word “believe” in the Greek is pisteuo, and it means “to place one’s entire spiritual well-being in Christ.”  What a fabulous translation, such depth, such an incredible act of faith and trust!!

John 3:16   . . . . .  “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes  “place one’s entire spiritual well-being in Christ”  in him should not perish but have eternal life.

Romans 15:13   . . . . .  May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing,  placing one’s entire spiritual well-being in Christso that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

Mark 5:36  .. . . .  But overhearing what they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not fear, only believe”   place one’s entire spiritual well-being in Christ.  Read the N.T. scriptures with a biblical definition and FEEL the difference.
