Truth Exposed:   

Luke 5:32 makes a very interesting statement:  “I have not come to call  . . .”  Who was Jesus talking to?  The Pharisees.  Who were the Pharisees?  The religious leaders and teachers who believed themselves better than others.  They were self-righteous in their speech and attitudes.  Jesus was calling them out and they didn’t even realize it.  The sinner knows he is locked in sin, what he needs, and goes after it.  The self-righteous are locked into themselves and refuse to acknowledge their need.  Jesus is the only key to unlocking the chains of sin and death.
