Truth Exposed:  Ambassador

In 2 Samuel 10, King David sent ambassadors, accredited diplomats sent by a country as its official representative to a foreign country, to the land of Ammon, only to have them sent back in disgrace, 2 Samuel 10:4 .  In oriental culture the beard is sacred and cutting the robes displayed their circumcision.  In every culture, from then to now, to disgrace an ambassador is to disgrace the king or president of that nation.  It is the same with God.  2 Corinthians 5:20 and Ephesians 6:20 names True Believers as ambassadors of God.  We represent the Kingdom of God to the world, Philippians 3:20.  Therefore, the way we treat other True Believers either blesses or insults the Lord.  Hmmmm …. How am I representing my heavenly kingdom?
