Truth Exposed:   Trust

Proverbs 3:5-6 urges trust.  The Hebrew translation of trust is:  “to feel safe, be careless.”  What? Safe? Careless?  Yes.  Safe means secure, having faith in someone’s character, ability, or honesty; and careless, in this context, means “not concerned or worried.”  Psalm 56:3-4 and Isaiah 26:3 use the same word.  If we trust God with all of our being, we are not concerned or worried about anything!!!!!  Care.  Less.  We could “care less” about our needs, hurts, situations, because we are safe in Christ.  We must be as trusting and care free as little children  Matthew 18:3.  The world tells us we must worry and that if we don’t worry, we don’t care, are not concerned, or don’t love.  Jesus tells us NO!!  Acts 5:29 tells us who to obey.  The choice is ours.
