Truth Exposed:  Priestly Duties

1 Peter 2:9-10 names us the royal priesthood, and as with all priests, we have certain duties and responsibilities.  These are listed in Deuteronomy 33:8-11 by Moses, and are quite explicit:

• Are we faithful?
• Have we struggled with God?
• Have we obeyed God’s word?
• Have we protected his covenant with us?
• Have we made the Lord our #1 priority in all things?
• Have we taught his word to the brethren?
• Is our praise, worship, & service a pleasing aroma?

If we adhere to these directives, the Lord God Almighty will smite our enemies for us.  After all, the battle is not ours, but the Lord’s.  2 Chronicles 20:15.
