Truth Exposed:   Trust #2

In a previous blog post I presented trust and how we are to go about trusting God.  Today I will present a different aspect of trust, or the lack of, sin.  Why do we sin?  Simple.  We don’t trust God.  We don’t trust who he says he is and that he will do what he says he will do.  So, we try and devise our own plans, Proverbs 16:9, and end up flat on our faces.  Who is God?

  1. He is truth - Numbers 23:19
  2. He has the blueprint - Jeremiah 29:11
  3. He accomplishes - Isaiah 55:11
  4. He sets the path - Psalm 32:8
  5. He provides - Matt 6:11

And the list goes on and on.  What more do we need?  So, why do we not trust in the Lord?  Why do we sin?  Can anyone produce a valid reason, a  justification for an action or event, not an excuse, to lessen the blame attaching to (a fault or offense) ?
