Truth Exposed: Faith #2
The Greek for faith is pistis, and it means “a moral conviction; reliance upon Christ for salvation.” But I heard a definition of faith today in church during the sermon that just stopped me flat: “faith is an act of relocation from death to life.” What is salvation? It is a relocation from “death to life.” What a simple, yet profound, explanation. We relocate where we live. . . . in the world or in the spirit. Take any one or all of the following scriptures and substitute the bold definition for the word faith.
Hebrews 11:6; Matthew 21:22; Romans 10:17; Ephesians 2:8; 1 Cor 2:5. Absolutely beautifully simple.
