Truth Exposed:   Trust #3

In Trust #1 and Trust #2, I talked about how to trust God and why we sin.  In this blog I will endeavor to discuss the reasoning behind the lack of trust in God.  It’s called “conditioning,” to have a learned response.  We are conditioned from birth to fully rely on our 5 senses:  see; hear; smell; taste; and touch.  If we can’t apply one or more of these senses to anything, well, it doesn’t exist, ask any scientist.  In John 20:24, Thomas firmly rejected Christ’s resurrection until he had used his senses.  Yet, in verse 29, Jesus said those who believe without proof are blessed.  The solution?  Change our stinkin’ thinkin’ .   We can't walk in the spirit with a carnal mind.  Romans 12:2.  Re-condition, re-learn, how we think and respond to spiritual matters.  Remember where we are: John 17:16; Philippians 3:20-21; 1 Cor 3:19.  Here is the fix:

2 Cor 5:7; Hebrews 11:1. To my mind, trust and faith walk hand-in-hand.
