Many years ago I began a Bible study with a divorced woman who had been living with a man for many years. She accepted Jesus during our time together and wanted to tell the world. She went to church with me that Sunday. She was so excited that she went right to the podium and exclaimed her salvation. I was in tears! People were congratulating her, then suddenly she bolted out the door. She told me later that someone, one of our most prominent ladies, told her she better kick him out or marry him immediately, because her salvation wasn't real if she continued to live in sin. She was heartbroken and never went to any church again. We still got together for a short time, she didn't stop believing, but her desire for church was crushed.

We said this for the longest time as we were both against legal marriage but very much felt we were spiritually married. God moved in us and I know without a shadow of a doubt that I was meant to be Mrs. Moore! I love this thought process.
Further research will show that it is a way for them to collect more money as the government for licenses. I love this blog.

I have questioned these things much over the years. I have left churches because their answers to them, didn't sit right with my spirit. For example I have witnessed real miracles and was told that, no miracles only happened when Jesus walked the earth. That preacher couldn't show me where the Bible said that. I was told that going for help & taking meds for depression was a sin, but I couldn't find that either. I felt that shooting myself and leaving my kids with that, would be a worse sin. So I left that church. Well leaving was more because of the pastor not speaking to me about it, nor would he come to the hospital for me and the shunning I got when I went back. I thoroughly believed Jesus was still with me. So if it isn't in the Bible then I'm outta there.

I think one of the biggest prayers most of us think about is He heals us.

I am not sure where to start with this. This is my first online Bible Study and it has been a very long time since I really did some time in the word. Looking forward to the journey!

I know it be wrong of me to just walk away from family to live as hermit with just me & God... I wouldn't, but some days.....

I'm feeling the same way , I always think about leaving the town being alone just God and I . I really need to work on my relationship with God. I feel I'm so busy trying to help everyone else like my adult children I feel I would be abandoned them. But I just want some peace in my life. When God called upon my son May 2024 at age 25 it did not change the way I feel about God but it made me where sometimes I really don't even know who I am anymore. One thing I am proud of is I never hit that bottle , never relapsed on alcohol or anything else at that. I keep stepping forward and praying . That is all I can do and just know that God will keep his arms around me and help me thru this
