1 Samuel 15:23 tells us rebellion is as witchcraft and stubbornness as idolatry. The stubbornness I get as then is it all about me, but the rebellion stumped me. Witchcraft is defined as “the exercise or invocation of alleged supernatural powers to control people or events.” Ahhh, rebellion seeks to control a situation or event in a very negative, ungodly way. Just watch the news! Leviticus 20:27, Galatians 5:19-21, and Revelation 21:8 call for the death penalty. Only God is in control of situations and events, not you or me. Stubbornness and rebellion are immensely critical issues and must be taken very seriously. Reference a previous article on witchcraft.
